Share from your browser
You can share a folder straight from a browser tab, without installing anything. It is the quickest way to try DeviceLink, and the same approval and file rules apply as for the agent.

Open your organization
Sign in and open your organization. The Overview page offers to share a folder.

Choose a folder
Your browser asks which folder, then asks you to allow access. Nothing is read yet, and the browser grants only the folders you pick, one permission at a time.

Connect this browser
Approve the browser as a device. This is the same approval an installed agent goes through: it takes a fresh sign-in with your identity provider, even though you are already signed in here.

Ask your AI to read a file
The folder now appears to your AI assistant exactly like one shared by the agent.
What to expect
It works in Chromium desktop browsers - Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera. Firefox and Safari do not support the folder picker it needs, and neither do mobile browsers. Access is read-only, it lasts only while that tab stays open, and your browser asks for the folder again when you come back.
Install the agent when you want a device that stays connected after the tab closes, or when you want to share from a machine you are not sitting in front of.
